Pre-Arrival Overview
Congratulations on your admission to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign! We are excited to welcome you to campus. The resources below will help you prepare for your arrival to campus and time at the university.
It is crucial to read all university correspondence prior to arrival. You will be given specific instructions and guidance from various units on campus, including Undergraduate Admissions or the Graduate College, your college and/or department, and International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS).
If you will enter the United States in F-1 or J-1 (University of Illinois-sponsored) status, you will receive your initial I-20 or DS-2019 from either Undergraduate Admissions or the Graduate College . Please reach out to these offices directly for further questions about your first document.
