The University of Illinois was chartered in 1867 as the “Illinois Industrial University”. The University has 17 colleges and instructional units, 559 total buildings, and is also has one of the largest public university library collections in the world. Among U of I faculty and alumni, there are Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winners.
It is our hope that your student will utilize the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) office as a resource throughout their time at the University of Illinois. We are a team of professionals dedicated to providing programs, services and advising to all international students on campus. If your student comes to us with a question or need that we can’t help with directly, we will be sure to refer your student to someone who can provide assistance.
