Julie is responsible for the leadership and overall management of the office of International Student and Scholar Services.

Carol oversees all office operations regarding to International Faculty, Staff and Scholars.

Martin McFarlane
Associate Director
Martin represents the student side of the office in Julie's absence. He also advises international students and is the office's student immigration regulations contact.

Jodi Barnhill
International Data Coordinator
Jodi maintains the database of all international students and scholars at the University of Illinois.

Dana Francone
Assistant Director
Dana advises international students and is the primary contact for J-1 students from outside agencies. She is the liason to the Graduate college and in charge of departmental programming.

Cheryl Hinkel
Assistant Director
Cheryl shares advising responsibility with Kara for both international faculty and staff on H visas and international scholars on J visas.

Erin Johnson
Assistant Director
Erin holds advising sessions with students, coordinates new student check-in together with Cheryl, updates publications and is in charge of programming for international spouses. She is the office liaison to Housing, the IHC and McKinley.

Kara Johnson

Kara shares advising responsibility with Cheryl for both international faculty and staff on H visas and international scholars on J visas.

Robb Larson
Assistant Director
Robb takes appointments with international students, is responsible for new student orientation and is the liason for all registered international student organizations.

Emma Swift
Assistant Director
Emma takes advising appointments with students, and organizes both the ISSS Undergraduate Scholarship award and programming for undergraduate students. She is also the office contact for the Counseling Center, the Career Center and the Leadership Center.

Kevin Turley
Assistant Director
Kevin is one of the ISSS student advisors, taking appointments and specifically dealing with programming for our exchange students as well as serving as webmaster for this site.

Katie Majewski
Data Management Specialist
Katie assists Jodi in managing the ISSS database.

Laverne Anderson
Office Manager
Laverne is responsible for overall administrative functions and correspondence related to ISSS.

Afroza Faruque
Office Support Assistant
Afroza serves at the front desk, helping students and scholars who come to ISSS as well as dealing with file maintenece and answering phones.

Stephanie Dvorachek
Office Support Assistant
Stephanie can be found at the ISSS front desk, greeting students and helping them with their questions and concerns, and answering the phone.

Clara Vaughn
Office Support Assistant
Like Stephanie and Afroza, Clara works at the front desk helping all visitors to ISSS with their concerns. Clara is the main staff member responsible for incoming calls.
